Ride to the Ride – St. George Edition
One of the many awesome things about riding bikes in Southern Utah is the ability to ride to the ride. Not only leaving the car behind, but enjoying the scenery and extending the amazing singletrack we have into a bigger ride or just linking up more trails so you can pedal longer.
Paradise/City Creek
Probably the easiest to access from downtown St. George. Paradise Rim and City Creek trails sit just north of town on the red cliffs. Both are short, fun loops that have amazing views and high reward for effort.
From Red Rock Bicycle to City Creek:
Turn left on 100 S (Bike Lane)
Turn left on 300 W (Bike Lane)
Turn left onto Diagonal Street (Bike Lane)
Turn right onto the bike path at the end of Diagonal and head north.
Stay on this bike path heading north to the light and then turn right continuing on the bike path
There is a steep grade for a bit, at the top you will see a step over, the trail starts there and will end on the same bike path at the top of 200 E.
To continue to Paradise, from step 4 above:
Turn left and go through the tunnel to go under Bluff Street
On the other side, hang a hard right to continue north on the bike path
At the light, use the crosswalk to cross and then continue north on the bike path
Turn left at the Chuckwala Trailhead.
Santa Clara River Reserve
The Santa Clara River Reserve is home to many of the most popular trails in our area including Barrel Roll, Sidewinder, Rim Trails and Suicidal Tendencies. All the trails are well marked and range from intermediate to expert.

Bear Claw Poppy
The closest thing you can get to a roller coaster and still be on your bike, the Bear Claw Poppy trail is a hoot. It has plenty of challenges but provides alternative green lines for all of them. By far the most ridden trail in the area and is fun for all experience levels.
