New Trail in Cliffrose

The Cliffrose Trail System has a new addition ready to ride. The new section, potentially called Upper Roosters, offers a few extra miles dropping into the existing Roosters trail, creating a good 5-mile downhill experience.

New Trail in the Cliffrose Trail System

The Southern Utah trails just keep expanding. The Cliffrose Trail System, which is only a couple of years old, has a new addition that is ready to ride and is a ripper!

The Cliffrose Trail System is located above Diamond Valley at the junction of FR 901 and Cottonwood Springs (Turkey Farm Road). The system has trails ranging from wide, green to narrow, chunky black trails. There are two killer downhill trails, PJ Party and Roosters. The new addition is a few extra miles dropping into Roosters. This gives riders a good 5ish mile downhill that is all hoots and hollas.

Our initial guide to this trail system can be read here

Upper Roosters?

We're not sure what the official name will be for this new section of trail, but seeing that it feels a lot like an addition to Roosters, we've been calling it Upper Roosters.

Riding the new section

The new section makes a nice 11-mile loop. From the trailhead, head up FR 901 to where the trail crosses the road and head east on Get It Together. Follow this trail to its junction with Just My Pinyon. Just My Pinyon will climb to the high spot. The downhill starts out with a big roller.

what's it like?

The new section is very similar to Roosters. It is fast and flowy. There are multiple trail obstacles. A lot of these are blind and several have awkward entrances or exits and a few have some odd rock spacing that can certainly catch one off guard. There are also a few doubles spread througout the trail.

not on trailforks

As of this writing, the trail has not been added to Trailforks. However, we have ridden it and you can see the Strava activity here.
