The Status 2 is a versatile mountain bike designed to push the boundaries of what a trail bike can do. Whether you're riding on the trails, at the bike park, in the streets, or just cutting turns with friends on a local hill, the Status 2 allows you to ride your way. It's equally at home as a trail bike, park bike, or urban cruiser. Each Status 2 is built with a super strong M5 alloy chassis and tough alloy wheels. The bike features stout suspension, powerful brakes, and popular drivetrain options designed to catch big hits, pedal smooth, and provide excellent stopping power. This is a bike built for riders who push the boundaries of progression. Before delivery, each Status 2 receives a special shock tune from Specialized's Ride Dynamics team—experts who specialize in mountain bike suspension. The shock characteristics are specifically designed to complement the kinematics of the Status 2 frame perfectly. The Status 2 features flip chips located on the Horst pivot link near the rear axle, allowing riders to fine-tune the frame's geometry to their preferred ride or terrain. Bikes ship in the high position but can be flipped to lower and slacker geometry, with an 8mm lower bottom bracket and half a degree slacker head tube angle.
