December / January Trail Crew Update

Washington County

Total Hours spent Maintaining Trails: 322.75

Week 1 - This week Bill spent a few days at Gooseberry cutting drains where water was collecting in puddles and pruning plantlife out of the trail corridor.  I also spent a day at Confluence Park in La Verkin working a small reroute from a massive cottonwood falling in the trail.  Bill spent the remainder of the week at Guac pruning plant life out of the corridor.

Week 2 -Bill spent this week in Santa Clara cleaning and cutting drains and armoring some tread surface that had eroded to ruts.  Bill also spent a day with BLM advising issues on the White Reef Trail & Prospector.

Week 3 - Bill continued the work in Santa Clara draining puddles and armoring the tread surface where able and needed.

Week 4 - This week was again spent in the Santa Clara draining puddles and armoring where needed and creating small "grade changes" not quite waterbars but bumps enough to help force water into drains.

Week 1 - Bill spent time time at Prospector trail cutting drains in puddles and when feasible filling them in so they wont gather water again.  Bill spent time blocking rogue lines on Churchrocks.  Then Bill was back in Santa Clara continuing the work raking debris out of existing drains and cutting new ones where feasible.

Week 2 - Bill continued the work on the Santa Clara trails.

Week 3 - Bill spent time on Suicidal Tendencies cleaning drains cutting new ones and reworking/armoring degraded switchbacks.

Week 4 - Bill spent this week finishing up at Cove wash and moved to the Sheeps Bridge complex mostly raking out the tracks where people were riding off trail
